A walkthrough article on the insanely small budget DR200SE build that fought its way to the podium against modern race machines at the 2020 24 Hours of Glen Helen Endurance Race. This article is an in-depth look at the modifications made to the bike. If someone wanted to replicate the exact setup, this article has the info to do that (but this is definitely for entertainment purposes only, of course).
Why am I charging for this? Because it's awesome, and it could save you hundreds of dollars over following one of the many lame DR200 builds out there that just throws an aftermarket parts catalogue at the bike. This build was done in a manner which addressed specific issues with the bike, so it came out massively improved without much money spent. I'd line my DR200 up against any other DR200 out there (and I'd probably lay waste to them all, let's be real). You don't need big bucks. You just need a little know-how.
Even if you don't have a DR200 or care to modify yours, you could find some entertainment and insight into my performance tuning philosophy in this article. There's a lot of BS out there for these bikes and I cut right through that and made a ripper for cheap, then proved its worth through open class racing.
If you hate it, I'll give you your money back if you want it back within 30 days of purchasing. You won't hate it.
